I am Emrald. Lover of Jesus. Wife of Justin, my favorite person. Mama of Phoenix + 2 angel babies. My little family is everything! Lifelong fan + graduate of Auburn. War Eagle! I am a coffee addict who is always up for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner date. I grew up on the beach and now long to live somewhere in the mountains. For now, absolutely loving life in our little railroad town.

I chose "of Fire + Ash" in honor of my 3-year-old son. Phoenix is an old symbol for Christ and also means to rise from the ashes, so, "of Fire + Ash" was born.

I have always adored babies. Even as a child, I loved the feeling of a brand new babe in my arms. I longed to be a Mama some day and knew it would be my favorite job of all time. I was so right!! Once newborn photography started taking off, I couldn't stop looking at all of the beautiful pictures of these precious tiny people. Just breathtaking. I never thought I could do what these talented photographers did, so I admired from a distance. After miscarrying a baby in February of 2017, something in my heart stirred. I was devastated. I longed to hold another sweet baby in my arms. After a few months of processing, it clicked; I was going to give newborn photography a shot. I had to. It was so clear that this is what I needed to be doing, so I went all in and haven't looked back since. A few months after getting started, we lost another baby and it only fueled my desire even more. I have loved every minute of learning this beautiful art. Helping families capture these special memories makes my heart overflow with joy and I am honored to be even a small part in these moments.
